Wedding In Clara, Kilkenny
by Eamon on Apr.02, 2012, under Weddings
Here is a clip from a recent Kilkenny Wedding Video, Claire McDonald & Andrew Byrne were married in Clara Church. The Wedding DVD Recording began at the church, Clara Church is a small Church situated on the Kilkenny Carlow Road about 10 mins from Kilkenny City
Clara Church is situated in a quite rural area and it is a popular Wedding Ceremony venue in Kilkenny and is used by Kilkenny Brides and Brides in Carlow. Claire & Andrew celebrated their Wedding on a rather special date 11/11/11 it also happened to be the day of the Irish Presidential Election. The wedding car had the couples names on the front number plate and the date on the rear plate. They were very lucky with the weather the day was bright and sunny which is a bonus for a mid November wedding.
After the ceremony we headed for Langtons Hotel for the Wedding Reception.
Langton’s bars are smooth, sophisticated and each subtly different blending contemporary style, impeccable furnishings in a relaxed atmosphere. Going for a quiet drink, a night out or just a aperitif before dinner, each occasion conjures up different moods and Langton’s has it all.
As a Wedding Videographer Working in Kilkenny I am frequent visitor to this wonderful Kilkenny wedding Venue it is one the best.
Claire & Andy opted for
the Gold Wedding Video Package which provides coverage of the full day right up to the first set of dances, it has been a popular choice by Kilkenny Brides during 2011 and 2012.
I would like to wish Claire & Andy all the very best for the future it was a pleasure working with them on their Wedding day in Kilkenny.
Wedding In Crook Co. Waterford
by Eamon on Mar.27, 2012, under Weddings
Here is a recent Wedding Video which I recorded in Crook Church, Waterford. Jennifer & Stephen came home from Australia to celebrate their Wedding In Waterford, the Reception took place in Waterford Castle it is one the best Wedding Venues in Munster
Jen & Stephen and their families were all booked in Waterford Castle for the weekend, Crook Church is only short distance from Waterford Castle, so Jen arrived on time for the Wedding ceremony.
After the ceremony we stopped off at a small harbour near crook for the photo shoot and I recorded some great video footage
of the Bridal Party, after that we headed for Waterford Castle for a cracking Wedding Reception.
Waterford Castle Hotel and Golf Club is uniquely situated on a private 310 acre Island, enjoying a truly picturesque and enchanting location of the surrounding River Suir and country side.
The mystical experience begins when guests arrive at the ferry to be taken across the water to another world. Passing through a stone archway you are greeted by an open log fire and beautiful Portland stone walls adorned with the original tapestries the family that lived here for over 500 years.
If one looks closely enough you can see evidence of mounted spears and swords from times past.
The Munster Room, the main dining room creates a unique ambience amidst oak-panelled walls and an ornate 16th century ceiling. Our chef Michael Quinn combines fresh local produce with European influences in your personal selection of menus. It was a pleasure working with Jen & Stephen their wedding day in Crook Church and Waterford Castle was just perfect in every way, they are a lovely easygoing couple and they were happy to leave the wedding Video production to myself. This clip from their Wedding DVD is a lovely memory of a very special day.

Civil wedding In Clonmel
by Eamon on Mar.13, 2012, under Weddings
Civil Weddings In Tipperary have become very popular in recent years. Wedding Videographers in Tipperary are well acquainted with the Clonmel Park Hotel and Raheen House which are the two main Civil Wedding venues in South Tipperary. Here is a clip from a recent Civil Wedding In The Clonmel Park Hotel.
Nichola Tobin & Christopher Cullinan celebrated their wedding Day with a large group of family and friends at Clonmel Park Hotel, I am sure that all Tipperary Videographers would agree that for a Civil Wedding Ceremony in Tipperary the Park Hotel is Number One. Your wedding day should be one of the most memorable days of your life.
The staff at the Clonmel Park Hotel will endevour to make your day just that!
From crisp white linens to shimmering candlelight, gourmet food to unrivaled service – a wedding with them will truly be a memorable occasion! Their team will happily assist you in planning every aspect of your wedding day. The lavish Poppyfields Ballroom with its magnificent chandeliers can host up to 300.
The Wedding Film began with Nichola getting ready at her parents house Clerihan, Clonmel Co. Tipperary and then on to the Park Hotel for a lovely relaxed Civil Wedding Ceremony. The photo session took place at St. Patrick’s Well which is situated very near the hotel, it is ideal for Wedding Filming and Photos. It was a pleasure to have been asked to Film the Wedding of Nichola & Christopher, I have already recorded the Weddings of two of Nichola’s sisters so its great to be asked back again to record the wedding of another member of the Tobin family.
Wedding In Portlaw, Waterford
by Eamon on Mar.08, 2012, under Weddings
Hazel Kiely and Keith Robinson were married in St. Patrick’s Church Portlaw Co. Waterford, the Wedding Video began with Hazel and the girls getting ready at their house in Kilsheelan, Co. Tipperary.
Here is a clip from this lovely Tipperary, Waterford Wedding Video.
Portlaw stands in a lovely setting where the south road from Waterford to Carrick-on-Suir crosses the River Clodagh. It is bounded on the north by the River
Suir and the Comeragh Mountains are to the west. The name “Portlaw” has been equated with the Saxon “Lagh” or “hill”. Another source associates it with “Claddagh” (sandy bank or landing place). St Patrick’s Church Portlaw, Waterford is a very popular Wedding Ceremony Venue for Brides in Waterford and Tipperay Brides. I like working in old Churches they always add a touch of class to a wedding ceremony.
The Wedding reception took place in the Dungarvan Park Hotel
Overlooking the glistening Colligan Estuary, with the backdrop of the Comeragh Mountains and surrounded by 5 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens, the Park Hotel in Dungarvan provides the ideal setting for any wedding in Waterford. Congratulations to Hazel & Keith I enjoyed working with them on their Wedding Day

Laura Sweeney pops the question on Beat FM and the answer was yes from her partner P.J. Colville. February 29th 2012 is a day that this romantic couple will always remember, so it looks like Wedding Bells In Cashel for Laura and P.J.
Congratulations to our happy couple, Laura Sweeney and PJ Colville from Cashel in Tipp who got engaged this morning on Beat Breakfast!
Laura appeared on air last week as “Kitty Cat” and was voted by listeners and our expert panel to be the one to take the leap on February 29th. A very nervous Laura travelled with Teresanne and the Audi A1 Beat Fleet to pop the question to PJ and thankfully, he said ‘yes!’
Laura and PJ went on to Steven Bourke Jewellery Design in Enniscorthy to pick out their handmade diamond engagement ring worth €2,500!

The Mrs2be.ie Wedding Survey also lists several other interesting findings for 2012 ;
- 9 out of 10 engaged couples say that their wedding plans have somehow been affected by the tough economic conditions. It looks as if conditions have worsened recently as 7 out of 10 couples who got married in 2011 said they had been affected by the recession
- Overall cost of a wedding (excluding the honeymoon) has fallen from €23.4k in 2010 to €22.7k in 2011.
- Last year’s Irish Wedding Survey 2011 predicted a fall in budgets for 2012 (engaged brides were asked to provide a total cost for their upcoming weddings). The cost looks set to fall again in 2013 and beyond.
- December is by far the most popular month to get engaged. Just under 1 in 4 of all engagements happen in this one month. August is the second most popular month, but it is closely followed by October and September.
- Engagements are longer now than they were a few years back. More than 1 in 5 couples are now engaged for more than 2 years before tying the knot.
- Online wedding communities such as mrs2be.ie continue to be a hugely popular resource for helping couples to source and research their ideal suppliers for their weddings. This trend is continuing on an upward climb.
- Couples who got married in 2011 have indicated that were more influenced by quality but price also played a major role when it came to deciding between wedding suppliers and venues. For couples who are still engaged, the new emphasis is actually on price.
- The choice of reception venue and the photographer receive the highest spend priority during the planning. These are closely followed by the wedding dress and the band to play at the evening reception.
- In terms of what DIY projects couples undertake; favours, stationery, accessories and providing transportation on the day are the most popular. The wedding dress is the item least likely to undergo the DIY treatment. The DIY trend is still huge.
- Average guest numbers who were present for the full sit down meal were between 101 and 150.
- 2011 saw a large increase in couples using web technologies to help plan their wedding. Almost half of the couples surveyed indicated that they encouraged RSVPs via email which represents a 25% increase since 2010.
- Whoever said that social media is a waste of time? 28% of couples who got married in 2011 indicated that they sourced some of their suppliers directly through Facebook and Twitter. This is a sizeable increase from a figure of just 10% in the previous year. For engaged couples yet to marry, 37% indicated that they are using Facebook and Twitter to source some of their suppliers.
- There has been a notable increase in the number of wedding receptions being held in restaurants (3.4% in 2011 compared to 1% in 2010).
