Tipperary Couple Valerie And Kevin Say Yes

In this week’s blog post I am delighted to sharing  yet another wedding video  from my home county of Tipperary.
Valerie and Kevin celebrated their wedding in Two-Mile-Borris, it is  a small tidy village in County Tipperary located  on the outskirts Thurles town.

February 18th was a lovely day lots of spring sunshine and not a rain drop in sight.
After setting up my main camera and microphones in the church I quickly made my way to Valerie’s house to grab some of the pre wedding excitement.  Aileen Kennedy was the wedding photographer for the day,  Aileen and myself have lost count of the number of weddings that we have covered around Thurles, Cashel, Clonmel and all overTipperary, she is a top class photographer and a pleasure to work with.
Valerie and her Bridal team were enjoying the build up to the main event, the sun was beaming through the windows spring was in the air and the girls had  a spring in their step.
Fr. George Burke conducted a lovely personal and  easy going ceremony with some light hearted comments thrown in helping  to relax the slightly nervous couple.

We stopped off at Templemore Town park for the wedding photos the park  is a real treasure for the little town of Templemore.
As a wedding photo venue this park has so much to offer a lake and an impressive fountain.
Valerie and Kevin enjoyed a pleasant stroll around the wooded  area of the park, I was delighted to have captured beautiful video footage of the happy couple as they walked hand in hand chatting and enjoying time out from their busy wedding day schedule.

Cheerful Colorful Winter Wedding In Kilkenny City

Weddings in Kilkenny are now  an all year round occurrence , gone are the days when a winter wedding was considered to be an out of season event.
Here at Drangan Video our winter wedding bookings have soared to an al-time hight with Kilkenny been our most frequent   location. The following wedding film highlights are that of Nicola and John who were married in St. John’s Church on January 5th 2017.

Nicola and John’s Wedding Story

The story begins with the bridal preps at Nicola’s house situated on Old Golf Links Road in Kilkenny, when I arrived the preparations were in full swing. The very talented Ross Costigan was the photographer he was already there when I arrived, I love working with Ross its fair to say that some of my best films were shot while working  with him, he has an amazing talent for wedding photography. Nicola and John’s wedding video  is  a typical no nonsense  production, it features lots of natural shots which were discreetly recorded  while adapting  a hands off approach.

Why hire a wedding videographer in Kilkenny?

You may be undecided at the moment as to whether you would like to hire the services of a professional videographer and that is only natural as costs mount up quite fast. We fully realise that planning a wedding can be a costly experience and know that brides and grooms across the country are looking to make savings where possible. However, we do also meet with a lot of Brides and Grooms who speak longingly about their big day and the regret they have at not capturing every moment to relive in the months and years that follow.

When you hire a videographer, you do so to capture the most important moments of your wedding day. The day goes by so fast and couples rarely get to see everything that goes on around them. With an expertly and discretely shot wedding video, you can take the time to sit down at a later date and relive your big day from a different viewpoint.

Frequently asked questions:

We find that by asking the right questions, you can make an informed decision on whether a wedding video is right for you.

Can I just get a friend to video the wedding on a phone or small device?
As a result of speaking with many brides and grooms up and down the country, we can certainly say that whilst your friend may have all the best intentions, an amateur video will in no way capture all of the ambience and special moments of your big day.

Why should I hire Drangan Video for my Kilkenny Wedding?
Here at Drangan Video we are very familiar with the best locations throughout the county and can therefore recommend the best settings not just for video but also for photography shoots. We will always act with discretion and will in no way disrupt the natural flow of your big day. Our equipment is state of the art and we are extremely professional to deal with.

Will a videographer annoy my guests?

An amateur videographer may very well interrupt or annoy your guests, however, here at Drangan Video we act with the utmost discretion to film moments that may otherwise be left uncaptured. Your guests wont even know we are in the same room!

Can you film at both the ceremony venue and the reception?
Yes certainly, Drangan can offer you an all inclusive package to film at the locations of your choosing such as, the exchanging of vows, in your home during the morning preparations and of course the all important first dance. You simply let us know what you want and we’ll make sure your wedding video is an outstanding success.
