Here at Drangan video we try to share most of our recent productions especially local weddings in Kilkenny, Carlow & Tipperary. Aoife Fitzpatrick & Neil Lanigan were married in Kilmoganny, Kilkenny on October 3rd 2014 this is a snippet from their wedding video.
When it comes to planning a wedding whether it be in Kilkenny, Carlow or any other county in Ireland one little concern is the weather, “will we have a fine day” if you are planning an Irish wedding brilliant sunshine is not something that can be taken for granted. Aoife & Neil did not have that glorious sunshine, as I

arrived at Aoife’s parents house in Kilmoganny the rain was pouring down, as I made a run from the car to the hall door trying to keep my camera dry I could hear the sounds of laughter and fun as the Aoife and the girls attended to bridal preps, on entering the house the pouring rain was barley mentioned some of the girls did comment “pity about the rain sure thats Ireland for you” what a wonderful attitude to have, just get on with enjoying the day and to hell with the rain.
It was a pleasure to return to the village of Kilmoganny to record a wedding video for another member of the Fitzpatrick family, I was the videographer for Aoife’s sister Breada which is almost 10 years ago now time just seems to fly by. Aoife & Neil were so nice to work with, Aoife is blessed with good looks and a warm friendly personality and she has a great sense of humor, Neil is a lovely guy very relaxed and easy going and happy to leave the fussing to the girls “typical Kilkenny Groom”.
We stopped off at Butler House in Kilkenny for some photos and video shots with Aoife Neil and the bridal party, it is an ideal location for a wedding video and photo shoot. The old Georgian residence is part of the Kilkenny Castle estate, lovely staircases, marble fireplaces, magnificent ceilings and a perfectly kept walled garden are just some of the features of Butler House.
The Springhill Court Hotel was the reception venue, the hotel has recently been updated with new decor, it is a well known wedding venue in Kilkenny and has stood the test of time down through the years. It is a venue that is well worth considering if you are looking for value for your money in an excellent 3 star hotel.
This a lovely comment which I received from Aoife & Neil on my Drangan Video facebook page.
Eamon, just a quick note to tell you how pleased we were with our wedding video. You managed to capture the essence of an Irish wedding perfectly. The music was excellent throughout the video. You captured so much without us even noticing you there which was perfect! We would have no hesitation in recommending you to any other couple intending to get married in the future. Thanks again for a wonderful video Aoife & Neil Lanigan 3rd October 2014
More wedding news soon : Regards Eamon.
