Here at Drangan Video our wedding videographer bookings for 2016 are at an al-time high I’m also happy to say that the majority of our weddings are in Tipperary.
In this wedding news blog post we feature the wedding of Marie & Michael who were married in Ballywilliam Church Nenagh on April 2nd 2016.
Nenagh is truly a town for all seasons. There are not too many provincial Irish towns about which you can honestly say that a weekend isn’t nearly long enough, but Nenagh fits that bill! visitors are spoiled for choice with things to do in Nenagh
Nenagh is the largest town in north Tipperary with an urban population of 7,995 . Nenagh lies on the banks of the Nenagh River which empties into Lough Derg at Dromineer (nine kilometres to the north-west) which is a popular centre for sailing and water sports.
Marie & Michael’s Wedding Video Story :
My day began with the bridal preps at Marie’s parents house sitauted the Five Alley on the outskirts of Nenagh, I always like to start with the Bride’s house it’s a fun and lighthearted start to the day.
Marie was a stunning bride standing almost six foot tall with an an adorable smile, she was very relaxed and fully prepared for the happiest day of her life.
The wedding ceremony took place in Ballywilliam Church which stands all alone on the slopes of beautiful rouged North Tipperary countryside, Fr. Timoty O’ Brien treated us to a relaxing ceremony which was all done and dusted within an hour, giving us pleanty of time for our journey to Killaloe for the wedding reception.
The Lakeside Hotel Ballina Killaloe Tipperary :
I sure that all wedding videographers in Tipperary will agree that the Lakeside Killaloe/Ballina is one the best wedding reception venues in Tipperary.
The towns of Killaloe and Ballina are amongst Ireland’s most picturesque attractions and are linked by a 13 arch bridge, which links not only the two towns, but also the counties of Clare and Tipperary. Killaloe/Ballina have all the amenities that you would expect to find in an Irish village, for me as a wedding videographer its a dream location for shooting high quality magical wedding videos.
The Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre sits on the banks of the majestic River Shannon with stunning views of the twin heritage towns of Ballina in Co. Tipperary and Killaloe in Co. Clare. The award-winning gardens provide the ideal backdrop for wedding videography and photo shoots. The town is famed for its charming narrow streets and the 12th century St. Flannan’s Cathedral.
Sitting on the crossing point between two powerful Munster counties, the Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre offers you accessible tranquillity. Less than 90 minutes from Dublin, Cork or Galway, 40 minutes from Shannon International Airport.
As a Tipperay based wedding videographer I’m spoiled for choice when it comes to visiting fabulous wedding locations within an hour from my home here South Tipperary, Michael & Marie’s wedding was a most enjoyable experience as a couple they were lovely couple to work with, so easygoing and down to earth I’m probably been a little bit bias in stating that when it comes to shooting wedding videos in Tipperary I feel totally at home.
