Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read my latest wedding blog post, I’m delighted to be sharing the following highlights from Sarah and David’s wedding video in Kilkenny
As a Kilkenny and Tipperary based wedding videographer I feel so privileged to be the first choice by so many local couples.
Sarah has a keen eye for detail so with that in mind I payed special attention to including every detail no matter how big or small to the finished wedding video

Morning Preps
It was a winter wedding only by name, December 21st was a crisp dry sunny day, I like winter weddings the low angled sunshine combined with bare trees adds to the challenge of producing a stunning winter wedding film, here at drangan video we love a challenge
Morning preps at Sarah’s parents house kicked of with some cracking drone video footage capturing the rich Kilkenny country side, its amazing how green everything looked on the shortest day of the year.
The Tyrrell family are so nice I felt very much at home in their company it was great working with Tanya from Eden Photography she is a very creative photographer we work very well together. Elaine Murphy Bridal/Occasions Hair by Elaine was on duty definitely the most popular choice by Kilkenny Brides, I’m also looking forward been her videographer later this year.
Sarah’s morning preps are included in the highlights video, she was a fun and positive Bride to work with as the song says it was begging to look like a beautiful day.

St Joseph’s Church Foulkstown
is to be found on the Waterford Road, just outside of Kilkenny city. Surrounded by a graveyard the church has an old feel. The inside of the church is plainly decorated but kept in immaculate condition. There is enough seating for a congregation of roughly 180 wedding guests. There is some extra seating on either side of the altar. A choir balcony is located at the rear of the church which is ideal for the wedding singers/music
The curch was full to capacity for Sarah and David’s ceremony, space was tight for shooting video my camera setup consisted of a static cam up on the gallery and a mobile cam on a monopod at the top of the church, the couple decided to not to have the traditional greeting line at the church door allowing more time for the photo shoot.

Mount Wolseley Hotel Spa and Golf Resort
The hotel is not far from Dublin, Kilkenny, and Waterford its the perfect setting for a dream wedding with winding staircases, rich marble floors this beautiful wedding resort is the essence of luxury for an unforgettable wedding reception.
Sarah and David made great use of the dance floor, they were both up for a big party, the video captured all the fun and smiles.

Tips
Budgeting for your video is a popular topic, my advice is to budget for video from the very beginning. In the past couples would leave the videographer out of the budget list now with the increase in quality the attitudes towards video have changed now video is on a par with wedding photography
