Here at Drangan Video we take great pride in sharing our high quality wedding video samples on this blog page or on our facebook and twitter accounts, the following video highlights are taken from the wedding of Kim & Mark who were married in Stradbally Co. Laois on February 6th 2016.
I suppose been of a certain vintage I harbor some lovely child hood memories of attending the annual Stradbally Steam Engine Rally, as a 10 year I was blown away by the beautifully restored vintage machines, now in my adult career as a wedding videographer I am once again a regular visitor to Stradbally Co. Laois where I have shot many wedding videos.
Kim and Mark’s Wedding Video Story:
Coverage of the day begins with the bridal preps which happens to be my favorite part of any wedding video shoot, I arrived just in time to capture the preparations which were in full swing, a wedding video production is similar in many ways to a feature film it will have a full cast , the Bride & Groom will play the staring role, followed by the bridal party, parents and guests.
The flower girls Lucy and Emily played a fab part in the wedding movie, proud parents Kim & Mark had asked me to get loads of shots of the little ones, the video includes fab shots of the girls helping mammy to get dressed, some funny magic moments of them checking the bride’s shoes for size.

The wedding ceremony took place in the Sacred Heart Church Stradbally, as a wedding videographer I very much appreciate the spender of this well maintained Co. Laois wedding ceremony venue, an abundance of natural light combined with a very spacious interior puts it top of my list for shooting weddings in Laois.
Kim and the girls arrived in good time, by then it was raining but the bubbly bride was walking on sunshine and was not upset by a few little rain drops.
Langton House Hotel Kilkenny :
Kim and Mark decided to travel over the border to Co. Kilkenny to celebrate their wedding reception in Langtons Hotel.
“One Fab Day”, Ireland’s most influential online wedding resource, has revealed “Langton House Hotel” among the 100 best wedding venues in Ireland, first in 2013 and again for 2014 and 2015. Langton House Hotel is one of my favourite wedding venues in Kilkenny for the production of top quality fun wedding videos.
The ballroom in langtons is a stylist setting for any wedding reception large or small the high 20f ceilings, ornate cornicing and hand painted silk wallpaper are a sight to behold. The ballroom is self contained with its own bar, access to a unique garden bar and private conservatory.
The Set Theatre is also a delightful setting for civil ceremonies and smaller wedding receptions, to add to the beauty of the set it opens out on to a private courtyard, I simply love shooting wedding videos in Langton’s Set Theatre.
Harrys Bar is also a beautiful setting much smaller more intimate weddings, it has been recently
Harrys Bar is suitable for a smaller more intimate, civil ceremony or wedding reception. Recently refurbished the ambience created with subtle lighting and flickering candles will enhance any couples special day.
I have shot weddings in the Garden Room Restaurant in Langtons its an ideal room for small medium or large weddings, it is a naturally bright room just perfect recording vibrant high quality wedding videos. The Garden Room restaurant offers a unique experience with an ambience of sophistication and old world charm.
Thanks to Kim and Mark for been so lovely to work with and not forgetting the two little flower girls who are Dad & Mam’s pride and joy, the video clip features a few smashing moments with Kim Mark and the girls in the bridal sweet .
