As a Kilkenny Based wedding videographer I am perhaps somewhat bias when it comes to sharing samples of my work, I have already eluded to the popularity of Kilkenny City as a wedding destination, It’s with great pride that I share with you today yet another delightful marble city wedding video.
Sinead and John Paul could not have wished for better weather for their big day, September 26th 2014 was a beautiful warm sunny day our long hot summer refusing to bid us farewell. St. John’s Church was the ceremony venue, Sinead’s parent’s house is located in Newpark Drive also known locally as “lovers lane”. When I arrived at the house bridal preps were in full swing Sinéad was enjoying the attention to detail of her ever hard working bridesmaids Jennifer, Michele & Chloe.
Historic Kilkenny City by Road Train:
John Paul and the boys arrived at St. John’s church on board the historic Kilkenny City road train, the black and amber carrages were glowing in the brilliant September sun, “red rag to a Tipperary man” The train is a fantastic way to view the city , the tour starts off at Kilkenny Castle and brings you on a 25 minute tour of the Medieval Kilkenny City. Fr. Sean O’ Connor is an easygoing unassuming pereson who conducts wedding ceremonies in lighthearted yet spirtulal manner, the video clip features some memorable sound bites from the ceremony.
Rothe House Kilkenny Dream Venue For Wedding Photos:
Rothe House is one of my favorite wedding photo locations in the South East of Ireland, it is situated in the heart of Kilkenny City within walking distance of the parade and Kilkenny Castle, it is a magical historic house and is the only perfect example of a 17th century town house in ireland. It was a great pleasure working along side John Delaney who is a very much sough after wedding photographer, I capture great video footage in the sun washed gardens and old stone courtyard provided an interesting backrop.
The Magnificent Kilkenny Castle :
No wedding in the marble city would be complete without a visit to the magnificent Kilkenny Castle, Sinead & John Paul had included a stop off at the castle gardens in their itinerary of photo locations, when it came to editing this video clip I was spoiled for choice by the sheer volum of beautiful camera footage from the day, Sinéad and John Paul were a pleasure to work with nothing was any trouble to them, sometimes visting more than one location for wedding photos can be stressful, but not for this bubbly couple.
Langton House Hotel Four Star Kilkenny Wedding Venue:
Sinéad & John Paul enjoyed a top class wedding reception in Langton House which is just across from the 1908 St. John’s Church, Langtons Ballroom, a spectacular room, boasting 20ft ceilings, ornate cornicing and hand painted silk wallpaper, this room is the delight of any bride, indeed our own Daughter celebrated her wedding reception in Langtons, Sean, Collette and staff are just so helpful and attentive to detail on the day, its a fab venue.
Once again thanks to Sinéad & John Paul for choosing me as their wedding videographer, they are a smashing down to earth couple and were just a joy to work with. I like this video clip which I intend adding to portfolio of recent wedding videos in Kilkenny.
Thanks for stopping by, lots more kilkenny wedding news soon.
Warm Regards, Eamon Drangan Video.
