Happy Wedding Day Memories In Mount Juliet

I am delighted and proud to be sharing the following wedding highlights video in this week’s blog post.
Tipperary Bride Anita and Kilkenny Groom David were married in Grangemockler church followed by a lavish reception in  Mount Juliet.

My day began with a visit to the Meagher homestead in Ninemilehouse   historically called Killcullen the small  Tipperary village  lies  on the border with  Kilkenny  as you pass through the  foothills of Slievenamon.
Anta’s house and farm overlooks the village from and elevated vantage point it was a beautiful setting for the beginning of what was a fab wedding day. It was a pleasure once again to be  working with Tanya of Eden Photography she is a much sought after wedding photographer throughout Kilkenny and Tipperary, we had great fun shooting the wedding preparations Anita was surrounded by her very attentive sisters who were prepared to spoil her with kindness for the day that’s  in it.

The Church

Grangemockler is a village in southeast  Tipperary,  is the home of the Grangemockler/Ballyneale GAA Club, the small church  is situated in the centre of the village, its a nice wedding ceremony venue just the right size for an average guest list of 200.
David and his groomsmen arrived in ample time to meet and greet their guests who were in no hurry  to move in from the beautiful August sunshine. The sound of car horns marked the arrival of the bridal party closely followed by Anita and her Dad Tony, any lingering guests quickly made the way into the already packed church.
Anita was a really cool Bride not a panic bone in her body, David was slightly nervous as he stood at the top of the aisle holding their little  daughter Aine, the emotion of that moment is nicely captured on Camera.

The Wedding Reception

Mount Juliet is  walled estate situated in Thomastown Kilkenny, it has some 1,500 acres of parkland providing a perfect location for a romantic wedding day celebration.
Driving through the gates of Mount Juliet and moving through the estate I noticed  golfers on perfectly manicured   greens, riders on handsome horses,  the Georgian mansion overlooking the River Nore came into view it was a sight to behold.
Anita and David enjoyed a warm recepton from friends and family , it was the perfect setting for capturing some amazing camera footage.

Happy Wedding Day Memories

A big thank you to David & Anita for choosing Drangan Video and for allowing their highlights clip to be shared on this blog post and on facebook.
The video features lovely sound bites from the David’s speech which is quite emotional.

• Simple Wedding Hair Styles

Clearly the days of elaborate hairstyles are gone, todays emphasis is on simple up styles, curls and twists that every bride can do herself.

• Blue Suits for Men

Well we would be blind if we didn’t notice this trend over the past 24 months! The grooms and their groomsmen have clearly been very successfully marketed to and are all looking for the on trend blue suit.

• Brogues

A trend that goes hand in hand with the blue suits we mentioned above. Irelands men have embraced their heritage and are all about the brown brogues that have taken the country by storm.

• Matching Wedding Tattoos

This one caught us by surprise, but it seems more and more brides and grooms are opting for a permanent reminder of their big day. In particular we are seeing many tattooed wedding rings and small tattooed symbols that will no doubt stand the test of time along with any marriage.

• Statement Wedding Jewellery

Brides today are looking for jewellery that strays from the more tradition delicate diamonds and pearls and are opting for statement pieces that really say something special about the bride. Luckily Ireland is blessed with talented jewellery makers that can design a piece specifically for your desires.

• Taco Bars

Yes, you read that right. Searches for Taco bars are up a whopping 142% on 2016 and it looks like wedding guests could be treated to a whole host of mouth-watering options to choose from. What a wonderful idea… although we do have some reservations about some of the stains this could leave behind on wedding attire!

• Drop Frosted Wedding Cakes

One of the newest trends to hit our shores, and without doubt one of the most sought after. These beautifully decorated masterpieces will certainly be a most dramatic centrepiece on your big day.

Now, regardless of what’s trending and what’s not, we would always recommend going with choices that truly suit you and your intended. Trends are all very well, but as we all know, they certainly come and go. Choose options that are close to your heart and ask yourself if you will be happy with those decisions in years to come.

Tipperary Wedding, Proud Dad

Last Friday November 22nd 2013 was the proudest day of my life, as I walked our beautiful Daughter Laura up the Aisle.

It was an amazing experience to be at the other side of the camera for a change, a big thanks to Pat Corbett who was Laura’s choice of Videographer for the day.

When it came to booking  a Wedding Videographer I did not advise or try to influence Laura in any way but I am so glad that she decided to go with Pat. He is a well know Wedding Videographer who is based in Thurles and not only is he a talented Wedding Videographer, he is also a lovely guy to work with.  Laura did research many Wedding Videographers, she come across one fairly well known Tipperary Based Videographer who was going on about been the cheapest and the best that money can buy, no deposit required LOL. He went on to advise on staying clear of  other Wedding Videographers in Tipperary including Drangan Video. This was soooo funny, thank god  for a sense  of humour, good material for a comedy sketch 🙂

It was the proudest day of my life to walk Laura up the aisle, Laura has three brothers, so being the only Daughter she is very special. We had a lovely day and it was amazing to be part of of the Wedding Party and really enjoying the day without a Video Camera in hand.
