I have been careful in recent weeks about showcasing my Wedding Video Highlight Clips in blog posts, it has been brought to my attention that my style of work is been copied by another Wedding Videographer in Tipperary, more about this at the end of this blog post.
Congratulations to Lyndsey Dunne and John Egan on what was a brilliant Wedding, the Wedding Ceremony took place in Church of the Assumption Callan, Kilkenny. The following Highlight Video Clip features lovely footage of the Bridal Preps with Lyndsey and the girls.
It was an honour to be asked to record a Wedding Video for another member of the Dunne family, I was the Videographer for Lyndsey’s sister Pamela two years ago. The Wedding of Lyndey Dunne And John Egan was one of the most eagerly anticipated Weddings in Kilkenny they both have broad circle of friends and are a very popular couple. Drangan Video has recorded Wedding Videos through out Kilkenny and Callan for many of their friends. Lyndsey’s warmth and John’s charm is evendent in their Wedding DVD high light clip. The Wedding Reception took place in the wonderful Newpark Hotel Kilkenny which is now one of the top Wedding Venues In Kilkenny and Tipperary. The Wedding Photographer for the day was the very talented Seamus Costello, I have recorded many Wedding Videos In Kilkenny and the South East with Seamus. Lyndsey & John requested that their Wedding Highlights be shared on Facebook check out Drangan Video On Facebook.
Just getting back to the opening chapter in this post which refers to my work been copied by another Wedding Videographer In Tipperary. It was actually a future local Bride to be that alerted me about this issue, I checked out some recent samples by this guy and sure enough a very
good attempt had been made to copy my camera style and production skills. My initial reaction was one of annoyance and surprise that someone would attempt to mimic another Videographer’s work. After giving it some though over the past few weeks I now realize and feel honoured that this guy is in awe of the quality of my work LOL 🙂
Drangan Video had the pleasure of recording. Sarah Maher & James Fitzpatrick were married in Johnstown, Kilkenny and celebrated a wonderful Wedding Reception In the Newpark Hotel Kilkenny.
Newpark Hotel Kilkenny is enjoying vibrant wedding bookings over the past couple of years and are very heavily booked for 2014/2015. As a Wedding Videographer in Kilkenny I really like working in The Newpark, it is without any doubt the Number Wedding Venue in Kilkenny at the moment.
Congratulations to Sarah & James, they were a great couple to work with, very easy going and relaxed. Check out this clip on the Drangan Video Facebook Page.

This lovely happy highlight clip begins with Marie getting ready at her parents house in Callan. Coolagh
Church is a nice little Country Church which is about 2 miles from Callan, it is a popular choice of Wedding Ceremony

Irish Weddings are at an all-time high which is amazing when you consider the economic circumstances that we have become accustomed to over the past 4 years or so. Weddings in Kilkenny are on the up which is good news for Wedding Suppliers in Tipperary, Munster, Kilkenny and Waterford. Helen Gypps and Neil Davy celebrated their Wedding Ceremony in St Patrick’s Church, College Road, Kilkenny. The following Wedding Video Clip features some lovely shots which were captured by Drangan Video at the River Court with Kilkenny Castle and the River Nore as the ideal backdrop.
Helen & Neil enjoyed a lovely Wedding Reception in The Kilkenny River Court Hotel in Kilkenny City.
The Kilkenny River Court Hotel is situated in the heart of Kilkenny’s medieval city. Set quietly off the street in a private courtyard, the hotel is located on the bank of the River Nore and is overlooked by the magnificent 12th century Kilkenny Castle. The Kilkenny River Court Hotel is renowned throughout the South East for it’s dedication to customer care and attention to detail making it the ideal south east wedding venue.
Our daughter is getting married next year so I have decided to take an interest in Wedding Planning. No matter how hard you may try to ignore it, a wedding budget is vital in planning for your Wedding Day you need to know how much you can spend and on what. Very often couples go over their budget when they find that Perfect Wedding Photographer or decide that they absolutely need that vintage getaway car because, it is very classy and special they can’t imagine leaving the church in anything else. you need to be prepared to stay within a certain budget, these difficult times have left us all looking for ways to save but weddings are one area where people are still over spending. So maybe try to have a Wedding that you can afford.
Here are a few tips and feed back from Brides In Tipperary and Munster. The engagement is something to celebrate but no need to go overboard with a big 200 guest party, one small engagement party or dinner is enough. Start saving for the Big Day.
The Bride’s family usually pays for the ceremony and reception and the Groom’s family pays for the honeymoon. Sometimes couples will find themselves footing the bill. The Brides Family may not be in a position to pay because of these difficult times, so you will have to decide on where the money is coming from.
A Small Wedding or a Big Wedding ? As a Wedding Videographer In Tipperary and Kilkenny it is plain to see that couples are cutting down on guest numbers. Big Weddings are very expensive and are not as personal as the medium size celebration. I think that less than 200 guests makes for a better and more enjoyable day than the 300+ guest list.
Wedding Video and Photographer ? You should budget for €900 to cover your Wedding Videographer and €1200 for a professional Photographer, these prices are possible by just shopping around.
