Congratulations to Bríd Ryan and Seán Nugent who were married in St. Mary’s church Kilsheelan in glorious Tipperary sunshine, I was delighted to have had the honor of been their wedding videographer. Bríd & Seán are both from Kilsheelan with only walking distance between both family homes on the outskirts of the village, it would be difficult to imagine a nicer setting than than Kilsheelan for a summer wedding in Tipperary, the small but vibrant village has won Tidy Towns awards in recent years it is situated on the main Waterford Road about 3 miles from Clonmel. This is the Highlights clip from their wedding DVD its a lovely video snippet of what was a wonderful Tipperary Wedding.
My day began with a visit to Bríd’s parents house to capture all the fun and excitement of getting hair and makeup done, the clip features some lovely shots of the bridal preps which was all discreetly recorded with my usual fly on the wall style, Bríd asked me to select the background music for the video the highlights montage is set to “love story” by Taylor Swift which happens to be one of Bríd’s favorite songs. This clip has already been shared on facebook and has received glowing comments from friends and family, sharing highlights on social media is a lovely idea especially for people who are living in other parts of the world and were not able to attend the wedding.
John Kelly a local wedding photographer based in Clonmel was on duty for the day, it was great working with him once again his style of wedding photography is easy going and quick with a no nonsense approach to capturing all those special moments. After the ceremony we called back to Bríd & Seán’s house for the the photo call the house is situated on his Dad’s apple farm in Kilsheelan, the region is famous for apple growing and Cider production due to its proximity to the world wide renowned Bulmers Factory, Clonmel. All the family photos were done at the house which was an amazing setting flanked by acres of apple trees and the rolling hills of Kilsheelan providing the perfect backdrop for interesting video footage.

The groom’s dad Seán Nugent is well known in Tipperary he is the current chairman of the Tipperary GAA County Board, I have had many dealings with him over the years, regarding the recording of local GAA games and producing videos of training sessions for the Tipperary Senior Hurling Panel. The wedding reception was in Hotel Kilkenny which did not bother Sean senior in the slightest. It is surprising that so many brides in Tipperary are heading over the border to kilkenny for their choice of hotel reception venue, I suppose it poses the question “do you think our hotels in Tipperary need to up their game on providing decent opposition to wedding venues in Kilkenny” the answer is yes.
Thanks again to Seán and Bríd for choosing me as their wedding videographer as you can see from the highlights clip it was a fantastic wedding and very well planned and great fun. Sean also sorted a couple of all Ireland tickets for me which was greatly appreciated. The clip has received many comments on my drangan video facebook page which check them out out at the bottom of this post, looking forward to many more wedding videos in Kilsheelan, and Clonmel during 2015/2016.
More weddding video news soon : Regards Eamon.
