As a nationwide videography provider, I often get asked if there are any destinations I do not travel to within the country and the answer to that is a simple ‘No’. Whether you are based in the southernmost tip or the northernmost shores I am always happy to provide you with the best service for your wedding day.
In this post I am going to pick one of my most visited wedding locations and talk about the wonderful scenic backdrops available in Tipperary county for your photographs and video shoots.
Videography in Tipperary
As I write this post, the summer weather has well and truly kicked in and brides and grooms nationwide are most likely making last minute plans to order parasols and ice-cream vans for their wedding day. Lets face it, this kind of weather doesn’t come around all that often!
I have recently been honoured to film a wedding in Tipperary, where the sun shone all day and had you closed your eyes you could imagine we were somewhere in the Caribbean. What a day that was!
On this special day the bride and groom were lucky enough to be able to pick and choose from all the wonderful wedding locations Tipperary has to offer.
The Rock of Cashel
The Rock of Cashel is without doubt one of the most well known landmarks in Tipperary and creates a stunning backdrop for a videography shoot. Imagine the shots on a clear blue day with the Rock in the background and you and your new spouse dressed in all your finery. If you are getting married in Tipperary this summer and are blessed with weather that is suitable for an outdoor shoot, you should definitely make the Rock of Cashel your very first choice.
Situated right on the River Suir, Cahir Castle is one of my favourite wedding video locations in Tipperary County. This unique backdrop creates a wealth of opportunities for videographers and photographers and offers a unique experience that you will both remember for the rest of your married life. As one of the oldest castles in Ireland the location will add a somewhat ‘royal’ tone to your wedding video.
Holy Cross Abbey
For any of you who already have the Rock of Cashel on your list of locations, it may well be worth stopping at Holy Cross Abbey on the way to or from there. Holy Cross is situated just 12km from the Rock and is also on the banks of the Suir. This early Cistercian monastery is always a successful location for a unique video shoot. Take the time to look at some photos of the landmark online and you will see that the Abbey offers some great architectural features for videographers and photographers to take advantage of, decorated archways, impressive grounds and a fabulous backdrop for any bride and groom.
